No worries! We create bespoke arrangements for our couples’ wedding ceremonies to make the moment truly yours. All we need is a YouTube link to the specific version of the song you have in mind. Please provide this at least four weeks before the performance, so we have ample time to craft a perfect arrangement for the string quartet.
For background music and reception accompaniment, we don’t offer new custom arrangements; however, we are always happy to hear your song requests! Since our repertoire is so extensive, there is a very good chance that many of your favorites are already part of our collection.
As professional musicians, we frequently collaborate with world-renowned vocalists within the classical music sphere. In a professional setting, we are fully accustomed to performing with soloists without the need for prior rehearsals. However, as we cannot guarantee the performance standards of external singers, coordination rehearsals may sometimes be necessary to ensure our own high standards are met. Please note that such rehearsals may incur an additional fee.
We typically arrive 60 to 90 minutes before the performance begins. This allows us ample time to set up, tune our instruments, and have a final consultation with the wedding celebrant or priest to ensure everything is perfectly coordinated.
We know that weddings are vibrant, living events. A short delay of 15 minutes is usually no problem at all. Our booking timeframes already include a buffer for moderate delays, ensuring there are no surprises on your special day.
We only require four stable chairs without armrests, a level surface of approximately 3 x 2.5 meters, and a secure space to store our instrument cases. Everything else—including music stands and subtle lighting—is provided by us.
Yes, we love open-air weddings! It is essential, however, that the ground is dry and level to ensure a stable and flawless performance.
As our instruments are highly valuable and extremely sensitive to heat and humidity, complete shade is strictly required (e.g., under a large patio umbrella, a gazebo, or a permanent canopy). Direct sunlight or rain can cause permanent damage to the wood and varnish, making this protection essential for every outdoor performance.
For outdoor performances during rain or temperatures below 13°C, a few precautions are necessary. In these instances, a covered or heated performance area must be provided. If a sufficiently large pavilion is available, we can continue playing even during sudden rainfall.
Important to note: The greatest risk is often light drizzle. While it may not bother your guests, even minor moisture can be hazardous to string instruments. Without adequate protection, we would unfortunately have to discontinue the performance to safeguard our instruments.
Our rates are based on the duration of the performance, the venue’s location, and the specific date. Pricing reflects the logistical dedication required to guarantee our presence at your wedding—because once we commit, we keep our word. The short answer is: yes, it is possible. However, we primarily utilize smaller formats for show acts or larger corporate events—ideally with electronic amplification and in combination with a DJ.
For wedding ceremonies, we explicitly recommend our full string quartet. This is primarily for musical reasons: a quartet provides the complete sound spectrum. Since we arrange all our pieces ourselves, every part—from the deep bass of the cello and the rhythmic drive of the viola to the soaring melodies of the violins—is perfectly balanced. In a duo, half of these musical layers are lost, which diminishes the rich, well-rounded impression of the performance.
It is a logical thought, but several key factors influence our calculation:
Fixed Costs: The administrative effort for organization, bespoke sheet music arrangements, and travel expenses remain the same, regardless of how many musicians are on-site.
Safety Margin: We always include a buffer to ensure high-quality replacements on short notice, even in case of illness, guaranteeing your event remains stress-free.
Performance Intensity: In a smaller ensemble, the musical demand and responsibility for each individual performer increase significantly. Therefore, the fee per musician is slightly higher to reflect this added intensity.
Our recommendation isn’t based on financial reasons—in fact, the individual fee within a quartet is actually lower for us. We recommend it because we are committed to the best possible result for our couples:
Full-bodied sound: Only a quartet can fully capture the complexity and depth of your requested songs.
Exclusive arrangements: We don’t use generic sheet music; we custom-write every song specifically for our four voices.
The impact: A string quartet possesses a visual and acoustic presence that makes moments like the bridal entrance truly magical.
We do not require a deposit from our wedding couples. You can simply transfer our fee to our business account during the week of the performance.
We work with an extensive network of elite professional musicians. Should a member of the quartet be unable to perform, we automatically arrange for a replacement of the same high caliber to ensure your day remains musically perfect.
We make no distinction between high-profile bookings for companies like Netflix, Warner Brothers, or MasterCard and the weddings of our couples. Whether someone falls ill or has an urgent professional conflict at short notice, we provide a substitute—and we absorb all associated extra charges, such as additional travel costs.
